Hungary: Postdoc Position in Image Processing, University of Debrecen
A postdoctoral researcher position is available from 1 January 2009 in the Image Processing Group, at the Faculty of Informatics of the University of Debrecen, Hungary. The post is for maximum 3 years, depending on a successful performance review at 12 months. The position is financed by the National Technology Programme R&D Grant of Hungary.
Research/project topic:
The aim of the project is to develop a computer-based image processing system for diabetic retinopathy screening. The main task of the candidate will be to develop robust image processing algorithms for detecting anatomical structures and lesions of the retina.
Selection criteria:
- Outstanding achievement in the applicant’s PhD degree level in imaging science, computer science, or any discipline pertaining to image processing.
- Language ability: very good knowledge of English.
- Programming abilities (preferably Java, C++, C#, Matlab, XML).
- Motivation to work with young researchers, PhD students and medical experts.
Salary:
Competitive gross salary between 500.000-750.000 HUF (approx. 2000-3000 EUR on current rate) depending on the level of experience.
