Scholarships Available for International and UK/EU Students on the innovative and dynamic new 18-month International Masters programme!!! (Deadline: Friday 30 May 2008)

The Department of Central and East European Studies invites applications from international students (i.e. non UK/EU) for International Masters scholarships (tuition fees plus stipend of £15,000 over 18 months i.e. £10,000 per annum) on its new 18-month masters programme, the International Masters in Russian, Central and East European Studies.

The Department of Central and East European Studies also invites applications from UK/EU students for a fee waiver International Masters scholarship (tuition fees only) on its new 18-month masters programme, the International Masters in Russian, Central and East European Studies.

The deadline for these scholarship applications is Friday 30 May 2008. Please see our website for further details.

Interested candidates are encouraged to contact Dr Clare McManus-Czubinska for an informal discussion. (Note: The International Masters programme will commence in September 2008 subject to the approval of the Senate Office of the University of Glasgow.)

Applicants for the International Masters scholarships should apply as normal on the standard ‘University of Glasgow Application for Graduate Studies’ form which may be obtained from and should be returned to:

Applicants for the International Masters should normally have at least a 2.1 Honours degree or equivalent in a related social sciences or humanities subject. The following supporting documents should be enclosed with your application form: information about your first degree (copies of your degree certificates and transcripts of your previous study), two academic references and evidence of your English language ability, if appropriate.


Please indicate on the application form which of the scholarships you are applying for (i.e. international or home/EU). The deadline for all International Masters scholarship applications is Friday 30 May 2008.
