Germany: PhD Scholarships in Scientific Computing in Engineering, University of Bremen
Since 2004 the post-graduate program on Scientific Computing in Engineering exists at the University of Bremen. In the upcoming second period of this program, the university is offering:
12 scholarships for PhD students (1024,- Euros/month, tax free) for three years.
Focus of this research program is the development and introduction of new innovative methods in scientific computing to the fields of
materials science, process technologies, micro electronics, and optimal control of satellites. Utilizing mathematical modelling and numerical simulation, problems will be tackled that cannot be solved by classical engineering methods alone.
This research program is strongly coupled with a lecture program in engineering and applied mathematics that aims at a profound education for a career in science as well as in industry.
